Baking used to be a cornerstone of family life, with recipes passed down from generation to generation and jealously guarded. Robin Hood believes that a strong connection to baking leads to strong family ties. So they tasked us with finding new ways to make baking relevant in a technological world. The solution? To use technology to preserve your family's treasured recipes to support a contest that gives bakers what they want most: the envy of their neighbours. We invited Robin Hood flour users to create online recipe boxes to collect family recipes and share them with their extended families. And we invited all the families to submit their most treasured recipes to Bake Some Memories, a coffee-table style cookbook collection of the best family recipes from across Canada. And while each family's recipe box was private, all the recipes they submitted for the contest were available on a public Bake Some Memories collection on robinhood.ca. Those chosen to be in the cookbook were documented with family histories and beautiful photography.
